Immigration Attorney

Saiful Islam is an immigration attorney at Colombo & Hurd specializing in EB-2 National Interest Waivers and other employment-based petitions. He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association.

Prior to joining Colombo & Hurd, Mr. Islam worked with another immigration law firm where his work was exclusively dedicated to employment-based petitions. He takes great pride in the wealth of experience and meaningful relationships he has cultivated throughout his legal journey.

Mr. Islam holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences both from Purdue University, which gives him a multidimensional studies background.
During his time at Notre Dame, Mr. Islam interned with the Immigration Defense Unit of the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office. There he worked directly with clients detained by ICE and in removal proceedings. After that, he was able to get more experience in the employment side of immigration at a law firm, and since then has continued his career in immigration.

Saiful Islam has linguistic versatility: he is fluent in English, Spanish, and Bengali. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and watching college sports.
