Savanna Johnson is an immigration attorney at Colombo & Hurd specializing in EB-2 National Interest Waivers and other employment-based petitions. She is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and Young Texas Lawyers Association.

Prior to joining Colombo & Hurd, Ms. Johnson worked in other law firms focused on family-based immigration, removal defense, asylum petitions, permanent residency and citizenship applications. She has prior experience with employment-based visas and even some corporate and trademark law.

Ms. Johnson is a graduate of the prestigious William & Mary School of Law and she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University, with Honors. While in law school, she was part of the Moot Court Team which placed second in the country and her legal brief was named Best Respondent Brief at the Elon Moot Court Competition.

While still in school, Ms. Johnson worked at another immigration law firm where she first gained her passion for immigration law. She also has volunteered at pro bono clinics as a legal interpreter and attorney consultant on VAWA and U-Visa cases. Ms. Johnson committed herself to the practice of immigration law after observing the challenges faced particularly by Latino immigrants in navigating a complex immigration. She is very proud of her experience enriching experiences helping others successfully immigrate to the United States and cares deeply about connecting with her clients as she works with them.
