Carlos M. Colombo is an internationally recognized immigration attorney and founding partner of Colombo & Hurd, PL. Under his leadership, the firm has grown from a boutique practice into one of the nation’s premier immigration law firms, with over 30 licensed U.S. attorneys and a global team of more than 350 professionals supporting clients across the world.

Mr. Colombo represents both individuals and corporations in the full spectrum of U.S. immigration matters. He has guided Fortune 500 companies, executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and distinguished professionals in securing both temporary visas and permanent residency. A hallmark of his career is his pioneering work with National Interest Waiver petitions, creating opportunities for highly skilled individuals to contribute to the U.S. economy and society without relying on employer sponsorship or significant capital investment.

While many business immigration firms primarily focus on corporate representation, Mr. Colombo has developed a unique practice that champions both the individual and the enterprise. He has overseen the development of Colombo & Hurd’s corporate immigration programs, including strategic planning for multinational employers, compliance frameworks to withstand government scrutiny, and advocacy efforts before U.S. agencies and consulates. His team integrates individual talent-based petitions with corporate mobility strategies, ensuring that both clients and companies achieve long-term immigration success.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mr. Colombo immigrated to the United States with his family after traveling extensively around the globe. His personal immigration journey informs his practice and allows him to approach each case with empathy, pragmatism, and insight into the challenges faced by both foreign nationals and U.S. employers.

Mr. Colombo is frequently sought out by major media outlets—including CNN, ABC News, Fox News, Univision, Telemundo, and Globo TV—for his insights on immigration policy, the U.S. economy, and international business. He has also spoken extensively in the United States, Latin America, and Europe on investor and employment-based immigration, including the EB-5 program.

Through his leadership, Colombo & Hurd has become known for combining strategic planning, compliance assurance, rapid advocacy, and federal litigation capabilities with a global perspective. His work continues to shape opportunities for individuals, families, and companies while contributing to U.S. innovation and growth.
