Mr. Hidalgo was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and currently resides in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Hidalgo’s parents migrated to the United States from Guatemala. He believes that witnessing the challenges his parents faced in their immigration process helps him understand and relate to his clients. Mr. Hidalgo is fluent in English and Spanish.
Mr. Hidalgo completed his undergraduate studies at The City College of New York’s Colin Powell School with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in public policy – where he made it on the Dean’s list. Mr. Hidalgo obtained his Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law; during his time there, he participated in the Immigration Legal Clinic and was awarded the highest grade for the program.
Mr. Hidalgo is a proud member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Hidalgo’s commitment to his community is evidenced by his continued work with different beneficiary groups such as NYC’s Land Initiative, Policies for Single Mothers; and LIFT-The Bronx where he worked one on one with low-income community members by advocating to secure safe and stable housing, informing them of their legal rights, and helping the community residents to enroll in public programs that provide tax credits, childcare, health care, etc.
In his free time, Mr. Hidalgo enjoys writing, painting, and playing music. Mr. Hidalgo plays more than five instruments including piano, since the age of 8.
