Tatiana Bessonova is an Immigration Attorney at Colombo & Hurd with more than a decade of experience in U.S. immigration law. Her practice focuses on employment-based immigration, extraordinary ability petitions, investor visas, and global mobility.

She advises companies, investors, and highly skilled professionals navigating complex immigration pathways. Ms. Bessonova is particularly experienced in developing high-level case strategies for individuals with distinguished backgrounds, guiding them through nuanced legal standards and evidentiary requirements.

Prior to joining Colombo & Hurd, Ms. Bessonova served as Of Counsel in an immigration and global mobility practice, advising businesses and individuals on matters including H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, and EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions. Her background includes experience at top international law firms where she represented multi-national corporations in complex business immigration matters and federal litigation.

In addition to her employment-based practice, Ms. Bessonova has extensive experience in family-based immigration and removal defense matters. She has represented individuals in immigration court proceedings, including detention and removal cases, and has handled a wide range of complex high-stakes matters. Her humanitarian experience includes representing clients in asylum and refugee-based cases, temporary protected status (TPS) matters, and petitions under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). She has also handled naturalization applications and immigration-related criminal waivers, providing strategic guidance to individuals navigating particularly sensitive and challenging circumstances.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Bessonova served with the Department of Homeland Security, supporting the Southeast Chief Area Counsel on enforcement and compliance matters.
