Ms. Aguilar practices exclusively immigration law focused primarily on employment-based immigrant petitions. In particular, Ms. Aguilar has specialized in assisting her clients successfully obtain lawful permanent residency through the Employment-Based Second Preference (EB-2) National Interest Waiver. Over the years, Ms. Aguilar has also represented clients in association with family-based petitions, citizenship and naturalization applications and a variety of non-immigrant visa applications including student and visitor visas. Prior to embarking on her legal career, Ms. Aguilar garnered over a decade of experience in the public service working for the Orange County Government in Orlando, Florida.
Ms. Aguilar was born in Mexico and immigrated to the United States during her secondary education years. She believes that having personally experienced the challenges of a different culture, country, and language helps her understand and better connect with her clients. Her goal is to understand the intricacies of each case so that she may deliver strong, consistent, and positive results for the people she helps.
Ms. Aguilar graduated from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, College of Law, where she received book awards for Juvenile Law and Race & the Law courses. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. She was also the recipient of the Hispanic Minority Scholarship.
Ms. Aguilar is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Young Lawyers Division, and she is fluent in English and Spanish.
