Colombo & Hurd congratulates our Colombian client whose E2 visa application was recently approved for a five year visa. We initially assisted our client in changing his status from a B-1/B-2 visa to an E-2 visa category as Essential Employee/General Manager. Most recently, our client submitted his E-2 visa renewal application to the United States Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, and once again, his visa was approved without issue.
The E-2 visa category as an investor also allows a foreign investor to bring personnel to the United States in the category of General Director, Executive or Essential Employee, to perform a general or specific function within the company. In this case, the applicant company, which is dedicated to the sale of solar panels in the United States, decided to hire the professional services of its current General Manager to remain on track with the management and developing of its investment in the renewable energy industry.
